Resources for students, educators, Coaches, and survivors
increasing Awareness and understanding of SportS- RELATED CONCUSSIONS through collaboration
As students and professionals in the TBI community, it is important to keep in mind the voices and perspectives of those who are actually living with brain injury. Those suffering from TBI are people before they are patients, and each person has a unique experience and story to tell.
This will be a place where those who have suffered a TBI can post their story. The goal is to use this space to share personal experiences-- experiences that will help others better understand the needs, concerns, challenges, and barriers that brain injury survivors and their families face on a daily basis. The unique voices of TBI survivors offer a personal perspective of a medical condition that is often studied from somewhat of a clinical distance and provides a form of research that, while not found in academic journals, is just as important in the treatment and understanding of TBI.
